Report Cards

Report Cards will be handed out Tuesday, October 4th at 6:00 p.m.  Parents may pick them up in your child’s 5th period class.  All report cards not picked up on the 4th will be mailed.

Picture Day!!! September 13th

Fall pictures will be taken on Tuesday, September 13th beginning with the 6th grade during 1st hour followed by 7th grade then 8th grade. DeLong Digital will be taking the pictures. Order forms will be sent home with the students and payment is due with the order. Make checks payable to DeLong Digital. Packages range from $12 to $68.

Jr. High Pep Rallies

Jr. High pep rallies will be held on Thursdays at 12:25 PM in the Jr. High Gymnasium. Parents, friends, and family are welcome to attend.

Open House – September 12th

Mark your calendars!!! Travis Jr. High will be having Open House on Monday, September 12th from 6:00 PM til 7:30 PM. Parents, students, friends and family are welcome to come meet the teachers and see the newly remodeled building.

Junior High Yearbooks

Orders due no later than May 18th. Please pay for your yearbook when ordering, cost is $10. Yearbooks will be given out the last day of school.

Lunch at the Park

Thirty-six students were awarded with tasty Subway sandwiches and free time in the park. The students were rewarded for having all of their homework turned for the three weeks. Good work guys!!!

TMSCA Team is State Bound!!!

Nine Jr. High students headed off to San Antonio along with three fearless leaders. Corbin, Jackson, Avery, Bruce, MaKayla, Kayla, Micah, Kristine, and Erika. They were so excited with the send off. We appreciate the parents, Mance Nelson, fellow students and staff for their send off. TMSCA is the Texas Math and Science Coaches Association meet. Students compete in math and science skills. They will be competing in the State TMSCA meet on Saturday morning April 9th. We are so very proud of these students. TAKS TIME

Test time for all Travis Jr. High students is coming near. It has been proven that on test day, the students do better with plenty of sleep and a hardy breakfast on test day. That’s where parents come in. See that they get a decent night’s sleep. We will have cafeteria breakfasts for them at school, but some of the kids may want to eat at home. We provide healthy snacks and water for them during the test. Let’s help the students conquer the TAKS Test.
Apr. 4, 8th Math; Apr. 5, 8th Reading; April 28, 8th Science; April 29, Social Studies; April 26, 7th Math;

Yearbooks

Parents/Guardians,
Since we have been back from Christmas break, Junior High Students have been compiling a yearbook. Our students will do all pages and binding. They have been working very hard and having fun. The book will have around 40 pages, some in color and some in black and white. The book will be bound with plastic covers on the front and back. The price of the yearbook is $10.00. The High School will also be featuring the Jr. High as well in their yearbook. I have already sent the forms home for that. Please feel free to purchase both. Order forms were sent home with the students attached to a paper copy of this message. Please fill it out and return to the Jr. High Office. Deadline to order a yearbook is May 13, 2011.
