Spanish Class Student Success Incentives

Assignments:

1.  Any student not having to attend TNL during the six weeks will have
10 points added to their six weeks test grade.  

2.  Any student who turns in each assignment in when it is due will have
5 points added to their six weeks average.

3.  All students with an average of 90 or higher in Spanish will be eligible for a $50 drawing at the end of the six weeks.  (One entry per class with the 90 average)

4.  All students with an average of 85-89 in Spanish will be eligible for a $25 drawing at the end of the six weeks. (One entry per class with the 85-89 average)

5.  Notebooks will count as a Test Grade each six weeks.  The will be due the last Wednesday of each six weeks.

Attendance:

1.  Class (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th) with the highest attendance percentage for the week will receive an “open” lunch on Friday of that week.

2.  Students with perfect attendance for the six weeks will be eligible for a $50 drawing.

Second Semester Week 1

Más español.  Me encanta.  More Spanish.  Love it!!! I hope you all had a Feliz Navidad.  All classes will be starting a new chapter this week.  Remember that vocabulary is key.  I have put a vocabulary sideshow on the server for each class.  You don’t have to waste time making flashcards.  The work is already done for you.  Study them every night.  It will make a huge difference.  Click on the link to see what we’ll be doing.  Jan 3-6.  Have a great week!

“Deck the Halls”

Put on your Christmas cheer!

 

All classes will be decorating their hall this week.  I’ve heard some great ideas; Winter Wonderland, Enchanted Christmas, Whoville, Christmas Forrest, Santa’s Workshop, and a few others.   Get with your class sponsors to let them know what’s going on.  Everyone will decorate Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 PM.  Have fun!

Lesson Plans

November21

Solo dos días.  ONLY TWO DAYS!!! Spanish 1 and 2 have chapter tests on Tuesday.  This is what we’ll be doing  Nov. 21-22.  Three weeks is up This Friday, so what you do through Tuesday will be your grade for the three week mark.  Have a great Thanksgiving!!

November 7-11

Wow! It’s already the 3rd six weeks.  All classes are starting new chapters.  This is what we’ll be doing Nov 7-11.  Keep up with your assignments.  If for any reason, you have a zero in Spanish on a Wednesday morning you will have TNL on Thursday.  Get your binder organized and ready to go this week.  Keep up with it.  You should have all your tests, orals, and notes.  You should just add what we do this six weeks.

October 17-21

This is already the 3rd week of the six weeks.  Everyone is going to get grade sheets today. All classes will have a chapter test on Tuesday.  STUDY!!!!   If you have a zero and don’t have it in by Wednesday, you will have Thursday Night Live from 4:00-6:00,  October 20th.  If you are failing on Friday at 8:00, you will have tutorials for the next three weeks even if you are passing at 3:00 on Friday. This is what we’ll do Oct 17-21.

Oct. 11-14

October11

Here are the lesson plans for this week Oct 11-14.  All classes will be speaking for a grade this week. Oral will be due Tuesday.  I will give you a time limit.  It is not fair to not be prepared and take 6 minutes to say 10 sentences while others studied and don’t have time to say their’s .   All the new material has been taught.  This week we will just polish our new skills.  Next Tuesday will be the chapter test.  Have a great week.

We’re off to a good start.  Everyone started out with a 100 average!  If you don’t have a binder yet, you need to get one.  It will be an easy must grade.  Organization is amazing.  Also, if you’re aiming for an “A”  read over your vocabulary every night.  Here are the lesson plans for this week.  Oct. 3-7.
