Field Day!

Posted by Mrs. M on May 10, 2012

Tomorrow is Field Day! Don’t forget to send your child’s lunch in

the morning if you signed up for “lunch from home”. The cafeteria

lunches will be ready in the morning.

We do have our field day t-shirts. We just left them here in the

rooms so we couldĀ  put them on before heading out to the Indian

Football Stadium. Kindergarten has maroon colored t-shirts.

We will be gathering at the 50 yard line tentatively by 8:30 a.m. to

take a group picture. Shortly thereafter, we’ll move to the north side

to begin regrouping for our track and field activities. So we’d love to

have you all out cheering the kids on! They are so excited!! :)

AR Reading: Keep up the good work kids! Every night students are

asked to read their AR books to parents. Parents please help kids

with words they don’t know, and have them reread the book more

than once. This helps them become more fluent.

CANNED FOOD DRIVE

Posted by Mrs. M on May 3, 2012

Students are asked to bring canned goods to donate to our local food pantry. High School has challenged Reagan to see who could gather the most donations by tomorrow. Please help our campus with this challenge. For every canned good that a student brings in, they will be issued a ticket that can be used at the carnival this Saturday.

Field Day is coming up next Fri., May 11th. Please send your lunch order form in your child’s folder in the morning. The sign up form went out this afternoon in their take home folder. Cafeteria sack lunches contain peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. If you send your child’s sack lunch from home, please remember to use throw away containers.

Parents…

Posted by Mrs. M on April 23, 2012

Parents don’t forget tomorrow is our field trip. Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 1st grade will be traveling to Vernon for the Stephen Fite concert. Afterwards, we’ll be going to the park for a picnic style lunch.

This year the concert theme consists of “The very best school day ever!” so we are asking students who want to participate may dress up. The website suggests things such as mix-n-match shoes or socks, shirts with crazy ties, short pants, funny wigs, or etc. It’s going to be a fun concert with lots of excitement!

Those of you that signed up for a sack lunch from the cafeteria, all has been taken care of already. If you signed up for a sack lunch from home—please remember to pack 2 drinks and remember that all containers will be thrown away.

On a different note, this Fri. we’ll be celebrating our AR party. The playground will have several bouncy houses, and the kids will be rewarded with a hot dog lunch. We need parent volunteers to help watch the bouncy houses, and we also need volunteers to help fill 1500 water balloons for the end of the day!

For the final item on our agenda—–we need parent volunteers to read with our class! The kids are really anxious to reach their next goal. 150 points = lunch with Mr. Turner, and 200=a medal! Please help us reach our points by volunteering to read and test. I know that by working together we could make it happen for our entire class. Just drop me a note in the take home folder with a date and time that you could come!
