I have a question about the lesson plans.  There is no time line for this unit.  We are going to move just as fast or slow as we have to to make sure we get the students able to tackle more and more difficult concepts.  If you have any more questions please email me.  I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Although the year started off a little rocky, We are off and running now. Last year we started off with 70 students in the success center. This year we have cut that number in half with 35. Also many of the student’s diagnostic tests are improving. That means they will spend less time in remediation and go back to an elective sooner. Remember, if you ever need anything regarding success center you can contact me at Jonathan.Wiseman@qisd.net or at the school during regular hours. Have a great year.

After the first six weeks of The High School Success Center is looking good.  After our second visit we are looking good with no complaints.  The students are also working at an exhilarating pace.  We have had our first student completely finished the program and has rejoined her elective.  One quick announcement.  Due to some unforeseen teacher absences on Friday grades will be a few weeks late for the first week of this six weeks.  Other than that all things are running smoothly.

A huge announcement.  We have one student who as worked there way out of the first section of the Success Center.  Robin Davis has completed the “Skit” section of the success center.  There are a few students who are nipping at her heels.  She still has to finish Study Island and the Math Facts sections of the Success Center, but Making her way out of one section is a huge deal.  If you see her congratulate her on her accomplishments.

After our first four weeks in the success center we are moving at a blazing pace.  We are working well past four to make sure that all of our students have the work they need so they don’t have to slow down we have at least three students who can work themselves out of the success center and back into their elective.  This is great because not only will students be making progress but they have something tangible to work for.  Since we have mentioned this to the students they have worked harder towards their goals of getting back to they their regular classes.
