Careers Class – Life on Minimum Wage

Author: cdodson | Filed under: Uncategorized

5th hour Careers class has a real world experience for the 3rd six weeks. They will spend the entire six weeks “working” for minimum wage. They are expected to find work to do around the school to earn their pay. They will receive credit for that work and must keep a budget and pay bills. Extra credit will be awarded for those who have enough money left over at the end of the month to spend on non-essential items. The class has already jumped in with an enthusiastic attitude and is having fun with the work.
